OMG I bought this chocolate bar today at my local health foods store and it is quite potentially the best dairy-free chocolate bar I’ve ever had! I know – quite a statement…

VEGO HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE BAR!

Okay so I don’t like fruit in my chocolate but I love nuts in chocolate and nothing goes better in chocolate for me than the humble hazelnut. Why is this bar so fantastic?

1. IT ACTUALLY TASTES LIKE MILK CHOCOLATE

This is not some pretender of a vegan chocolate that actually tastes like plain or dark bitter chocolate – no no this is more akin to good old galaxy or dairy milk – Hallelujah!

2. IT’S CHUNKY

This bar comes in really big chunks like you get in a Yorkie – which I personally love as you can bite into a proper hunk of chocolate.

3. IT COMES IN REGULAR AND TRAVEL SIZE

As far as I know it comes in two sizes, perfect for any occasion. The large 150g bar (which I obviously bought) for a proper meal and the travel sized 65g bar for emergency snacking.

4. IT HAS WHOLE HAZELNUTS

Yes just to reiterate – it has hazelnuts and therefore combines everything I loved about normal chocolate into the perfect vegan chocolate bar.

RUNNER UP: MOO FREE CARAMELISED HAZELNUT NIBS BAR

I love this one too! Only its thin shape and smaller pieces of hazelnut give it second place but sometimes it is what you want. Mini Moo chocolate has been the only vegan chocolate for me so far that properly resembles dairy milk. Plus the hazelnuts are caramelised, so buy this too!!
