Accidentally Vegan Products of the Week: BBQ MEXICAN SNACKS

So this week I’ve been really craving savoury snack food – nuts, bites and crisps have been all I want. Especially to pair with yummy dips. So here’s my list of the best vegan bbq, tex mex style treats that you can get from your local corner shop or supermarket!

1. SAINSBURY’S BBQ MINI CRACKERS

These morsels are truly fantastic – they have a lovely bbq taste and they’re quite thick, biscuity-type snacks, so a more substantial choice than crisps. They’re great by the handful straight out of the box, but they also make really nice croutons on soup.

2. PRINGLES BBQ FLAVOUR

Want a slightly more interesting flavour of crisps than just lightly salted – here is an addictive tub of crisps that you will find in most shops. The original and paprika flavour of pringles are also vegan and they are all clearly labelled.

3. JACOB’S SAVOURS SWEET CHILLI THINS

These are addictive – they have that lovely sweet chilli flavour without being too overpowering. A must buy!

4. DORITOS CHILLI HEATWAVE

To add a truly mexican feel to your snacks – these are a must! Their lightly salted flavour is also vegan (not to be confused with cool original which are not vegan!) and these are perfect served with any form of dip or even some melted vegan cheese for nachos.

5. RITZ ORIGINAL CRACKERS

And finally we cannot ignore the amazingness that is ritz crackers. Despite tasting like they absolutely must have cheese in – miraculously they are dairy-free and we are oh so grateful!

So there are my highlights from this week’s savoury snacks drive. Throw in some guacamole and salsa and you’ve got one hell of a tex-mex feast!

Lots of love,

Sunny Kitty
