This is the comfort food of the century! Filling, tasty, cheesy, warm, straight out of the oven – macaroni cheese is everything that you want from a lazy evening at home. In the past, my vegan macaroni cheeses have dried out in the oven and I’ve basically realised the trick is to make loads and loads of sauce, so that this will never happen! This one is super easy, vegan and is wonderfully indulgent!
So I am a massive fan of this show! I think they try really hard to be original and entertaining and James Corden does seem like a decent person. Most importantly, he is an excellent singer – so here are some of his most recent great moments…
I’ve always loved playing records, often just for the fun of getting them all out of their sleeves and letting the sound fill the room, but I didn’t quite realise until I went into a big music shop today that you can buy recently released albums as records too and new record players! Vinyl is back!
Here is a wonderful salad recipe for spring, you’ve still got a touch of warming root vegetables but you have the lightness of salad greens to get you in the mood for summer. This salad is so easy to throw together, looks really tasty and has plenty of protein and fibre…
And the quote for this week is:
Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music.
So this week is a mixture of soaring choruses and meaningful lyrics and some excellent Bollywood. Enjoy…
I was feeling quite uninspired about my lunch and was wondering how I could make it more appetising, when I realised that all my favourite salad bowls were dirty. However this spawned inspiration as I suddenly thought, wouldn’t it be nice to make a sharing board for everyone at home instead. I am so pleased I did because it really makes your food look so much more appetising so you enjoy your meal way more. Also, as all the foods are separate and haven’t been mixed together you can really savour the taste of each thing. So for a great and delicious show piece for when some friends come round, that you can whip up in 20 mins max, read on…
So after my morning dance class today, a friend of my dance instructor gave a talk on essential oils, where we got to try lots of different oils and she told us about how they’re made and how they can help people. I really didn’t know a thing about these oils before the talk, but they got me really intrigued about how they can help to heal aches and pains or lift your mood – so I’m going to try them out and give an update of how they affect my life…
So this week I have created a new playlist which I am just in love with. We’ve had some lovely, sunny spring days, so I have added lots of uplifting songs that really remind me of summertime and the great outdoors. So have a listen and hopefully this will get you in the mood to put on those running shoes and head out the door…
Okay so it’s not a short and snappy quote, but I really love this poem so much:
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
