Whenever I go for a run in the morning or go to a fitness class I always feel wonderful afterwards! My circulation gets going so I properly wake up, I can blow away the cobwebs, I feel satisfied that I’ve exercised and my metabolic rate is up so I will burn my breakfast faster! BUT what to do on those days when you just don’t have time to spend an hour exercising? Tadaahhhh! This 7 minute workout, yes just 7 tiny minutes, is both aerobic and strength building. It requires no equipment, you can just roll out of bed and do it straight away!
MINUTE 1: BURPEES
(CAN MISS OUT PRESS UP AND JUST JUMP LEGS OUT AND IN WHEN YOU COME DOWN TO THE FLOOR)
MINUTE 2: PRESS UPS
(ON YOUR KNEES OR FULL)
MINUTE 3: SQUAT JUMPS
MINUTE 4: SIT UPS
(GO INTO FROG TO MAKE THEM HARDER – WHERE YOU TURN YOUR KNEES OUTWARDS AS FAR AS YOU CAN TOWARDS THE GROUND)
MINUTE 5: JUMPING LUNGES
MINUTE 6: DONKEY KICKS
MINUTE 7: HOLD THE PLANK
And you are all done! You’ve worked you arms, legs, abs, bum and got your heart pumping. If you want a bit more, simply repeat the whole thing to get a nice workout done in under 15 minutes.
REMEMBER: Do stretch out after, just a quick quad stretch, thigh stretch and arm stretch is perfect and will avoid any aches and pains later!
